We run Goalkeeper sessions throughout the week at our fantastic 3G facilities at Gillingham Playfootball & Wrotham 3G. Each week PSA staff put Goalkeepers through their paces working on different areas of the game such as handling, diving, kicking etc. Using the same techniques seen across the country at Premier League training grounds!

As well as working on these key aspects of the game keepers are also given the opportunity to play in small sided games each week putting into practice what they have learnt during each session. PSA Goalkeeper Academy coaches includes Academy Director Scott Chalmers-Stevens who has a wealth of experience coaching throughout Kent as well as having experience playing Academy football with Watford and Rushden Diamonds FC.

A lot of teams often neglect this very important position and goalkeepers sometimes don’t receive the attention and specific training they need in order to progress to the next level and it is important that any young Goalkeeper understands his position within the team and the role of the modern day keeper!
